What is a mommy makeover?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding change the abdomen and the breasts at the same time, and they change them in ways that exercise cannot fully reverse. The abdominal muscles can separate along the midline, the skin can lose its ability to retract, and the breasts can lose position and fullness. A mommy makeover addresses these together, in one operation and one recovery, rather than asking you to plan and heal from three procedures at different times.
A mommy makeover is not a single procedure but a combination chosen for the changes that follow pregnancy. At YOUNIFY Clinic the standard plan includes three elements: a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), which removes the loose skin of the lower abdomen and repairs the separated muscle (diastasis recti) that does not close on its own; 360-degree liposuction, which contours the waist, flanks, and lower back so that the new abdominal shape continues around the body rather than stopping at the sides; and a breast lift (mastopexy), which raises the breast and repositions the nipple using your own tissue, restoring position after breastfeeding.
Where fullness is also wanted, a breast lift with implants can replace the lift alone. Where the abdominal skin is only mildly loose, a mini tummy tuck may be enough. These variations are priced from the corresponding rows of our published price list and confirmed in writing.

This is the point at which YOUNIFY Clinic differs from most surgical centres. Because we are a physician-led clinic with a weight management program in the same building, we are able to say plainly when the better sequence is to reduce weight first and contour second. If your body mass index is high, or your weight is still falling after pregnancy, our physicians may recommend a structured plan first, whether through nutrition and GLP-1 therapy or, for larger weight goals, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), a non-surgical procedure performed through the mouth. Body contouring then follows once weight has been stable for several months. Planned in this order, the skin removal is more complete and the result is designed to last.

Before surgery
Medical review, blood tests, and a stop to smoking and certain supplements as advised. International patients arrive at least one to two days before surgery.
Day of surgery
General anaesthesia; the operation takes several hours depending on the elements included.
First week
Drains, if used, are reviewed and removed at the clinic; compression garments and a supportive bra are worn; walking is encouraged from the first day.
Review and clearance to fly
Most patients are reviewed by their surgeon and fly home within 10 to 14 days.
Follow-up
Scheduled reviews continue by video after you return home, with your surgeon remaining your point of contact.

Should I have a breast lift or implants?
If the nipple sits below the breast fold and the breast has dropped, a lift restores position. If position is good but volume is lacking, implants add fullness. Many mothers need both, which is why a lift with implants is a common variation.
Is everything done in one operation, or in stages?
Most combinations are completed in one operation and one recovery. Where the volume of liposuction is large or your health history calls for it, your surgeon may recommend two shorter stages a few months apart, and will explain why.
My weight is still coming down. Should I wait?

Should I finish having children first?

How long is recovery, and when can I fly home?
Most patients return to light activity within two weeks, avoid heavy lifting for about six weeks, and fly home within 10 to 14 days once their surgeon has reviewed them.
Where will the scars be?
A low horizontal scar across the lower abdomen, small entry points from liposuction, and a breast lift scar around the areola with a vertical or anchor-shaped line depending on the degree of lift. Scars fade over 12 to 18 months but do not disappear completely.
